LP 1972: ‘HARVEST’ (Neil Young)

El 1 de febrero de 1972 se publicó en Estados Unidos 'Harvest', el cuarto álbum del canadiense Neil Young. Llegó a ser el disco mejor vendido del año, se mantuvo dos semanas en el nº1 del Billboard200 y se extrajeron dos singles, 'Old man' y 'Heart of gold'. Este último alcanzó el nº1, el único de la carrera de Young y fue el tema que lo dio a conocer en todo el mundo.

LP 1974: ‘WHAT WERE ONCE VICES ARE NOW HABITS’ (Doobie Brothers)

El 1 de febrero de 1974 se publicó el cuarto álbum de estudio de la banda californiana The Doobie Brothers. Contenía el tema ‘Black water’, que tuvo que editarse en single tras la insistencia de los DJ de radio que no paraban de emitirlo. Fue su primer nº1 en las listas Billboard. Otros éxitos del álbum fueron el top40 ‘Another park, another sunday’ y ‘Eyes of silver’.
