LP 1969: ‘CHICAGO TRANSIT AUTHORITY’ (Chicago)

El 28 de abril de 1969 se publicó en Estados Unidos el primer álbum del grupo Chicago, ‘Chicago Transit Authority’, para muchos, su mejor trabajo. Sorprendentemente, y a pesar de ser doble, alcanzó el puesto 17 en Estados Unidos y el 9 en el Reino Unido y permaneció en las listas unas 171 semanas (lo que para entonces fue un récord). El auge de las emisoras de FM que, al contrario que las de AM emitían temas de más de 3 minutos, ayudó mucho a la propagación de la música de Chicago.
